PARENTAL PARTICIPATION

This is important, both for the club in general and for the players. No prior knowledge of basketball is required. Basketball is both social, fun and educational.

Players like to have spectators in the stands, so parent/family/friends’ attendance at matches is always very popular.

SECRETARIAT

At every home game, HABA must provide a secretariat. That means we always have to staff this with three people. One for the match schedule, one for the match clock and one for the 24-second one. This is a fun job that gives you orchestra space for the fight. Here it is important to pay close attention to what is happening on the pitch so that you become extra engaged

AWAY MATCHES

At away games, parents must necessarily step in. We play matches in Bergensserien and in the Stavanger region. In that regard, a parent needs who can drive to these games. Here it is important that a rotation scheme is created.

TEAM CONTACT

The parents can also participate as a team contact, which each team should have. The responsibility of the parent liaison officer is to ensure that the secretariat and driving are arranged. There are Facebook groups for the different teams where lots of the information is relayed. Otherwise, information is provided by mail or phone.

SOCIAL CONTACT

We want every team to have a social contact. This person will ensure that the team serves as a safe and enjoyable space for the players by meeting outside the hall for social experiences. This can be pizza nights, cabin trips or other.
